The helianthemum belongs to the group of the first twelve flowers (the twelve healers) selected by Doctor Bach during his long walks in the British countryside. He was then looking for "an emergency remedy for situations where there seems to be no hope" and settled on the helianthemum. it is a small perennial plant with pale golden yellow flowers, fragile petals similar to crumpled silk, a characteristic of cistus, from the same botanical family. Like the sunflower, the helianthemum flower follows the path of the sun in the sky by turning towards it.
