What is Stinging Nettle leaves?

The stinging nettle or Urtica droica by its Latin name, is a common plant in France that can be found almost everywhere.

The nettle grows almost everywhere, near houses, in gardens or ditches, and measures 60 to 120 cm high. It can be recognized by its green, pointed and serrated leaves, bristling with stinging, hard, cone-shaped hairs. Their tip breaks when touched, releasing a liquid which contains formic acid and histamine, which are irritating to the skin.

How to use Stinging Nettle leaves?

Dosage: 1 tablespoon of leaves per cup of hot water. Directions: Boil the nettle leaves in simmering water for 3-5 minutes. Then let it infuse for 10 minutes after removing the water from the heat.
