About 1 to 3 drops on a neutral tablet or diluted in honey, 1 to 3 times a day.

Otherwise, in dilution of approximately 40 to 70% of essential oil in a vegetable oil.

Short massage, friction, on the bronchi, chest and back, throat, neck, sinuses, soles of the feet.

Some notions of botany

Native to Australia and New Guinea, this tree with reddish branches, slightly smaller than eucalyptus globulus, is also characterized by the speed of its growth. Olive green in color, its narrow, lanceolate leaves give off a peppermint odor when kneaded. Its creamy yellow flowers appear in summer, from October to January. Its fibrous bark, which varies between fairly light gray and gray-brown, stands out in long ribbons. Eucalyptus radiata was imported to Europe in the 19th century throughout the Mediterranean basin, to dry marshy soils and thus combat the proliferation of mosquitoes.

A little history…

It is said that in the past the Aborigines climbed to the top of trees to harvest the leaves closest to the sun which they then used as a poultice to treat, among other things, sores and wounds. They also burned them to chase away mosquitoes or to purify the ambient air when one of their number was sick.

Another custom: they collected the oil glands growing in clusters, crushed the seeds and mixed them with a little water. The paste thus obtained was applied to the foreheads of patients to reduce fever.

For their part, Zulu healers recommended eucalyptus radiata to treat coughs, bronchitis and asthma.

The natives also had the habit of floating a small piece of eucalyptus radiata wood in a jar to clean and purify the water.
