Description

The pineapple, Ananas sativa or Ananas comosus, is an exotic perennial plant from the Bromeliaceae family.

Christopher Columbus who was, it seems, the first European to taste it in Guadeloupe in the Antilles archipelago where the fruit is cultivated by the natives. But this one would in fact originate from Brazil and Paraguay. Its name comes from the Guarani word nana meaning fragrant.

Tasty and refreshing, its fruit provides numerous minerals, trace elements and vitamins. Its stem, for its part, contains an original enzyme, bromelain.

Pineapple (Ananas sativa) stem: 250 mg, tunic: pullulan gelling agent.
