Evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) is one of the main plant sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA, 8-12%), an omega-6 fatty acid rarely found in the standard diet. The first cold pressing, without refining or preservatives, preserves the oil's natural composition. GLA is a precursor to prostaglandins involved in various biological processes.
