Description of Lithothamne Vector Health.

Lithothamne is a red algae that grows naturally in the sandy bottoms of certain bays, at a depth of around thirty meters. Its very slow growth and remarkably porous structure allow it to efficiently filter and absorb all the precious nutrients from the ocean, including Calcium and Magnesium.

This algae is composed mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) at 87.5%, which is equivalent to an average concentration of 30% of elemental calcium.
