Copper in highly bioavailable liquid form with COPPERCOL Liquid Copper from Biorniz Laboratories: a solution of copper gluconate in ultra-purified and energized water, made in France. Copper is an essential trace element and a cofactor for numerous metalloenzymes. Copper gluconate is an organic form with high bioavailability.

Why is copper essential?

Copper is a cofactor for several key metalloenzymes: lysyl oxidase (connective tissue synthesis—collagen and elastin), ceruloplasmin (iron transport in the blood), Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (antioxidant protection), cytochrome C oxidase (mitochondrial energy production), and dopamine beta-hydroxylase (norepinephrine synthesis). The recommended daily intake is 0.9mg/day for an adult, which is difficult to meet with a diet low in organ meats, seafood, and legumes.
