Ladrôme organic Calophyllum vegetable oil is extracted by cold pressing the nuts of Calophyllum inophyllum, a tropical coastal tree whose oil has been used for centuries in traditional Polynesian and Malagasy medicine. Recognizable by its characteristic green color and strong scent, it is one of the vegetable oils richest in unsaturated fatty acids and calophyllolide. Certified organic. 100 ml bottle.

Why choose Calophyllum oil?

Calophyllum oil (Calophyllum inophyllum) is naturally rich in oleic acid (40-50%), linoleic acid, and calophyllolide, a coumarin lactone specific to this species. It is traditionally used in local applications on areas of circulatory heaviness and discomfort (heavy legs, hemorrhoids), on scars and minor burns, and on painful areas of rheumatic origin. Its strong odor is characteristic: it is generally used diluted in a lighter vegetable oil for massages.

How to use

For massage: dilute 10 to 30% in a light vegetable oil (jojoba, macadamia, sweet almond). Massage the affected area with gentle, circular movements.

Pure: can be applied pure on scars, minor burns, or hemorrhoids. The strong odor can be mitigated by adding a few drops of lavender essential oil.
