Miswak stick, 100% natural Salvadora persica root toothbrush

Before the modern toothbrush, there was the Miswak. This root stick from Salvadora persica, used for over 7,000 years across the Arab world, Africa, and South Asia, is still recognized today by the WHO as an effective dental hygiene tool. The Kerala Nature Miswak stick is 100% natural, with no plastic packaging and no added toothpaste. Just the plant, in all its power.

Why use a Miswak stick?

The root of Salvadora persica naturally contains silica (a gentle abrasive for enamel), astringent tannins (which strengthen gums), antibacterial sulfur compounds, sodium bicarbonate (remineralizing), and natural essential oils that freshen breath. By chewing the end of the stick, the fibers separate and form a natural brush that mechanically cleans the teeth, interdental spaces, and tongue.

Zero waste, zero plastic, zero additives: it is the most eco-friendly toothbrush that exists.

How to use it

  • Rinse the stick with potable water before first use.
  • Chew one end for about 2 cm until the fibers separate and form a natural brush.
  • Brush teeth from top to bottom and left to right, focusing on the tooth-gum junction and interdental spaces.
  • After use, rinse your mouth and wash the stick with potable water. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Cut off the used end as soon as the fibers are worn or dirty to regain full effectiveness.

100% Salvadora persica root (Miswak). No additives, no preservatives, no plastic.
