Organic Rose Hydrosol

Rose hydrosol is the most precious and iconic floral aqueous treatment in natural cosmetics, renowned for hydrating, toning, and enhancing dry and mature skin with incomparable gentleness. Obtained by distilling Rosa damascena petals, it captures the rose's water-soluble active ingredients—citronellol, geraniol, phenylethanol—in an aqueous solution with a pure, enveloping floral scent. 200ml. Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

Cosmetic profile and properties

  • Hydrating and enhancing facial toner: rose hydrosol is the benchmark floral toner for dry, dehydrated, and mature skin. Its profile of water-soluble floral alcohols hydrates and adds radiance to the complexion.
  • Treatment for mature and dull skin: regular use as a toner contributes to brighter, more supple, and more comfortable skin for those lacking radiance.
  • Pure and precious floral scent: rose water is one of the most universally appreciated fragrances. Using it as a treatment transforms a daily ritual into a moment of pleasure.
  • Eye contour care: a compress soaked in rose hydrosol on the eyelids provides a gentle, fragrant treatment.
  • 200ml: Organic Ecocert. Herbes et Traditions.

FAQ

What is the difference between commercial rose water and distilled rose hydrosol?
Commercial rose water is often a mixture of water and rose extract, sometimes with preservatives and synthetic fragrances. Distilled rose hydrosol is the pure aqueous phase obtained during the distillation of Rosa damascena petals, with no additives, containing the true water-soluble active ingredients of the flower.

Is rose hydrosol suitable for oily skin?
Yes, its soothing and slightly toning profile makes it acceptable for all skin types. However, for oily skin, it is less suitable than witch hazel or peppermint hydrosol for a mattifying effect. Its main benefit remains its fragrance and gentle hydrating action.

Can it be used as a base for a homemade facial serum?
Yes, it is one of the most popular aqueous bases in DIY cosmetics. Replace distilled water with rose hydrosol in all serum, emulsion, and gel formulations for dry and mature skin.
