Sea buckthorn and its vitamin C

Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the protection of cells from oxidative stress, the normal formation of collagen for the normal function of skin, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue (EFSA claims, Regulation 432/2012). Omega 7 is used traditionally and does not have an EFSA claim for sea buckthorn.

Usage advice

Dilute 20 to 30 ml in a large glass of water or mild fruit juice (apple, pear), 1 to 2 times a day, preferably in the morning. The pure juice is very acidic; do not consume it pure in large quantities. Shake well before use. Consume within 5 to 7 days after opening, while kept in the refrigerator.

Frequently asked questions

Can the juice be drunk pure?
It is not recommended in large quantities: its high acidity can irritate digestive mucous membranes. Dilute it in water or a mild juice.

Is it equivalent to a vitamin C supplement?
It provides natural vitamin C in a food matrix, at doses lower than those of many concentrated supplements.
