How do the active ingredients in CicArgent Serum work?
Salicylic acid (beta-hydroxy acid, BHA) is a fat-soluble keratolytic that penetrates pores and dissolves sebum plugs (comedones) — it is the gold-standard anti-acne active in dermatology. Silver powder provides direct antibacterial action by interacting with bacterial proteins (P. acnes). Zinc PCA (zinc pyrrolidone carboxylate) regulates sebum secretion by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase activity and exerts an anti-inflammatory effect. Copper PCA (copper pyrrolidone carboxylate) promotes healing and regulates the skin. Organic aloe vera (acemannan) accelerates healing and soothes active lesions. Hyaluronic acid hydrates without clogging pores.
