What is AHCC, Vit'all+ Shiitake Extract?
AHCC® is a patented extract of shiitake mycelium concentrated to 19% of highly bioavailable and active alpha-1,4-glucans. It has been the subject of numerous scientific studies, including 10 clinical studies. AHCC® supports the body's immune defenses.
AHCC® is obtained through an innovative process of growing shiitake mycelia in a liquid medium that allows for natural fermentation. During fermentation, enzymes hydrolyze certain polysaccharides into low molecular weight alpha-1,4-glucans (<5KDa>).
