What is Vit'all+ Lactase Tolerase® L?

Lactase (beta-galactosidase) is a digestive enzyme that hydrolyzes lactose (milk sugar) into two simple sugars: glucose and galactose. Tolerase® L is a French-sourced lactase obtained by fermentation from the yeast Kluyveromyces lactis. Its enzymatic activity is measured in FCC (Food Chemical Codex) and ALU (Acid Lactase Units). Each Vit'all+ capsule provides 4500 FCC/ALU, which is the activity corresponding to 18 to 23.4 g of lactose (the equivalent of 5 yogurts or 500 ml of milk). The lactase is formulated on a base of soluble acacia fibers (Inavea™). Manufactured in Sarthe by Vit'all+, a French family business since 1987.

Lactase is an enzyme naturally produced by the enterocytes of the brush border of the small intestine. It hydrolyzes lactose into glucose and galactose.

Lactase as a supplement

Lactase should be taken just before or at the beginning of a meal containing lactose. An intake of 4,500 FCC units with the meal is the dose for which the health claim is authorized.

How to use Vit'all+ Lactase Tolerase® L?

1 capsule just before or at the beginning of a meal containing lactose. Adjust according to the amount of lactose consumed (2 capsules for meals very rich in dairy products). Store between 15°C and 25°C, in a dry place protected from light.
