Does turmeric EO contain curcumin?
No. Curcumin is the polyphenolic pigment of the turmeric rhizome, which cannot be steam-distilled. Turmeric EO contains only the volatile compounds of the rhizome (turmerones, sesquiterpenes). Both products — EO and curcumin — have completely different biochemical profiles and uses.

Can turmeric EO turn skin yellow?
Yes, in high concentrations. At 0.5-1% in a carrier oil, the effect is very subtle and generally not visible. Beyond that, a slight golden tan may appear, similar to carrot EO. Dose precisely.
