How to use this essential oil?

Diffusion: 3 to 4 drops maximum. 15-20 minutes. Very penetrating eucalyptus-menthol note, to be used in moderate quantities.

Chest massage: dilute 2 drops in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Apply with a gentle massage to the adult chest.

Inhalation: 2 drops in a bowl of hot water, inhale under a towel.

Are mentholated eucalyptus and eucalyptus globulus interchangeable?
No. Globulus is almost exclusively cineole. Mentholated eucalyptus (dives) contains piperitone (ketone), which gives it a more restrictive safety profile (contraindicated for children and pregnancy). Different profiles and different contraindications.

Can it be combined with peppermint?
Yes, both complement each other in a fresh-mentholated synergy. Dilute both in the same vegetable oil for a fresh and penetrating chest massage — always for adults only.

Why are ketones contraindicated during pregnancy?
Terpene ketones (piperitone, thujone, camphor) cross the placenta and can have neuro- or embryotoxic effects at certain concentrations. As a precaution, any ketone-dominant EO is contraindicated during the entire pregnancy.
