Aleppo soap: traditional method

Aleppo soap is one of the oldest soaps in the world, manufactured using an unchanged artisanal method: hot cooking of saponified olive oil, then addition of laurel berry oil at the end of the process. The proportion of laurel oil (12% here) determines the soap's richness in lauric acid -- a saturated fatty acid naturally present in laurel oil.

How to use this Aleppo soap?

Moisten the skin. Lather the soap in your hands. Apply to face, body, or hair. Massage, rinse thoroughly. Let the soap dry between uses to extend its lifespan.
